I am in the show Stranger Things and everybody ends up dead, and I must have been a side character who was spectating because I don't think I was in the story with them. Everybody was killed by a cop, and he then went through everybody's belongings and he found a notebook full of drawings by Eddie and a bunch of weed. He uses the weed and reads the notebook and cries because he found out that everybody was innocent and he just murdered them all. He goes crazy and rants about depression and burns Eddie's notebook, so I go and get my notebook and burn it too which was oddly cathartic. At this point, we were in a strange white house but I can't remember the rest.
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, emotions, and experiences. In your dream, several elements stand out that can help unpack its meaning.
Stranger Things Setting: Being in a familiar yet surreal environment like the show "Stranger Things" suggests you're grappling with themes of fear, the unknown, or the feeling of being out of place. It might also point to a sense of nostalgia or connection to elements from your past.
Spectator Role: Your position as a side character who observes rather than participates may signify feelings of powerlessness or a desire to distance yourself from certain situations in your life. You might be feeling overwhelmed by events around you, perhaps questioning your role in relationships or responsibilities.
Violence and Innocence: The cop's actions and the revelation of the victims' innocence might represent a fear of injustice or the consequences of misjudgments—either for yourself or others. This could reflect feelings about how sometimes people might misunderstand or judge you or your situations harshly.
Catharsis through Burning: Burning the notebooks can symbolize a release of pent-up emotions or traumas. Notebooks often represent thoughts, creativity, and personal reflections. By destroying it, you may be subconsciously seeking to let go of past burdens or negative experiences. The act is portrayed as cathartic, hinting at a desire for emotional cleansing or renewal.
The White House: A strange white house typically symbolizes a need for clarity or a fresh start. It might represent a blank slate where new ideas can emerge, but its strangeness can indicate feelings of uncertainty about the future.
Overall, this dream seems to explore themes of fear, injustice, personal reflection, and the desire for release from emotional burdens. It may be beneficial to reflect on any current life situations making you feel out of control or judged, as well as considering how you can find ways to express your feelings in a healthier manner.
